I live off of vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds. You live off of fast food, pre-packaged slabs of flesh that have been treated with god-knows-how-many hormones and chemicals, and beer. And you have the balls to tell me MY lifestyle is the “unnatural” one???

Could you not.

@ashleehendry_fitness: ‘Dreams don’t work unless you do’ .. I began working out and getting into fitness after my first year of medical school as a way to relive stress anxiety and help with depression. I am now finishing up my 3rd year and I have made the decision to do Psychiatry residency and specialize in pediatric and adolescent psych. I am looking forward to the future and being able to help others overcome obstacles and work to erase some of the stigma associated with mental illness.. I just want to say thank you to everyone that follows me… Your encouraging words these past few years have really helped me stay focused and I love you all ❤️ #fitness #health #wellness #noexcuses 💪✌️😷

Please reblog if you know anyone who might take party drugs.

I’m not an emt yet, but everytime I see someone do drugs, I just hope they’re smart enough to remember these points.

I really love this, because as someone with anxiety when I did take party drugs way back when I was always scared of going to the hospital because I didnt want to be arrested…..even when I bad tripped and cried in the bathroom for 10 hours because I thought Jeff was trying to murder me. I dont do party drugs anymore, but it still is comforting to me….seriously.

Most EMTS and medics I’ve met are some of the most non-judgmental folks ever. Look, we love helping people and saving lives. That’s what we went to school for. Help us help you, and everyone will fare better for it.

i know a few emts and theyre all great people

For reals, they’re there to help, not get you in trouble. Be smart about how you have fun and be honest with your EMT’s. It might just save your life.

Raw Beet Hummus
4 medium red beets, peeled and cubed1 cup tahini paste1 tbsp olive oil2 cloves garlic2 tsp cumin2 tsp coriander1 tsp Himalayan pink salt (or sea salt of your choice)juice of 1 lemonjuice of 1 orangepinch cayenne
Makes 2-3 cups
Transfer beets into a food processor or high-speed blender.  Add remaining ingredients and puree until creamy.  Adjust spices to your preference, adding more salt, cumin or coriander if desired.  Transfer to a bowl and drizzle with olive oil before serving.  Can be stored in an airtight container in your refrigerator for 4-5 days.
Angela says: The original recipe calls for roasted beets, but I simply used raw beets instead. This is such a delicious bean-free hummus that is super easy and quick to make. The recipe makes a beautifully sized portion that can feed many and keeps very well!
